Fundamentally there isn't a lot that makes up a photo booth - a camera, a backdrop, some lighting. The classic photo booth has been around for more than a century in its most basic form. At HIPSHOT! we take the concept of the classic photo booth to the next level by focusing on the overall experience - setting a HIP vibe, and delivering a professional quality SHOT, time after time.
The name HIPSHOT! actually has a few interpretations, all involving artlessly convoluted double meanings. However, our mission at HIPSHOT! is simple and straightforward: to help our clients document their celebrations in style, beautifully capturing the candid and the contrived, along with all the other priceless moments that you won't want to let fade!

what is hipshot?
HIPSHOT! is photo booths. We are a young company, and at the moment we offer only one photo booth option (more are in the works!). However, our current only child is a special one.
His name is "O.J.". He's a restored 1965 Li'l Beaver travel camper that has been outfitted to operate as an automated, mobile photo booth! He's got style, he's got class, and he's ready to roll to your next event.

do you charge for travel outside of the greater birmingham area?
Yes, a travel fee of $1.50 per mile will be added for events beyond a 25 mile radius of downtown Birmingham. CONTACT US for travel rates for long-distance and destination events.
how does the photo booth work?
Guests enter the booth, choose their photo style option on a touch screen, look at the camera, and strike a pose! It's pretty simple. After their photos have been taken the guests can choose to have a copy printed, directly emailed to them or to download a copy from an online gallery.
what kinds of events do you do?
Lots. Weddings, parties of all sorts, corporate events, festivals, and more. CONTACT US for reduced rental rates on small events (<50 people).
do i get copies of all the photos?
Yes, all of the digital photos from your event will be uploaded to an online gallery for you and your guests to download and share. During the event, guests will also receive printed copies of their photos. The prints (photo strips) are created on a professional high-quality dye sublimation photo printer and are delivered in real time while the guests are in the booth.
can i customize my photo booth?
Yes, we offer the ability to customize your photo booth experience and will do everything we can to accommodate your vision. Custom graphics on your photos are included in your rental, however if you would like custom props, backdrops, decor, etc. we will discuss with you and try to make it work!
